Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Pleasant Grove Residents Directory collects, why it may be used, and how to ask a question about it. The directory is a reference to public records and historical collections in Pleasant Grove, Utah. It does not own the county, city, court, voter, vital, or library records described on its pages. Requests to change an underlying public record must go to the custodian that created or holds that record.

Data You Send Directly

If you contact the directory, the message may include your name, email address, the subject of your question, and any details you choose to provide. Please do not send Social Security numbers, full birth dates, private home addresses, financial information, or sensitive court or safety details. The mailbox is used to answer the request and keep a limited correspondence record.

Data Gathered Automatically

Normal web hosting may receive technical data such as an IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and request time. Server logs are used for security, troubleshooting, and basic service operation. Search-widget activity may be processed by the provider shown in that tool’s own notice. The directory does not create a government-record account for a visitor.

How Information Is Used

Contact information is used to reply, review a reported correction, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. It is not used to build a resident profile or to sell a public-record list. The pages link to outside agencies, but those agencies have their own practices and policies.

Links to Other Services

Links lead to Utah County Land Records, the Pleasant Grove GRAMA process, Utah Courts Xchange, Utah voter systems, OVRS, State Archives, USPS, UGRC, Commerce, libraries, and other custodians. Opening a link takes you to a separate service. Review its privacy notice before entering information or uploading an application.

Who May Receive Data

Limited contact or technical data may be visible to hosting, security, analytics, email, or maintenance providers that help operate the directory. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service, or to investigate misuse. The directory does not provide its correspondence mailbox as a public people database.

Keeping Data Safe

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for the small amount of information received. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be completely secure. If a suspected security issue involves a message sent to this directory, describe the issue without repeating sensitive data.

Visitors Under 18

The directory is not aimed at children. A visitor under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian and should not submit personal information. If a parent believes a child sent information, contact the directory with enough detail to locate the message and no additional sensitive data.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask what personal data this directory keeps about a contact request and may ask for correction or deletion of data supplied directly, subject to legal, security, and recordkeeping limits. Under Utah’s Consumer Privacy Act, covered businesses may have duties involving access, copies, deletion of provided data, and opt-outs of sale or targeted advertising. Commerce guidance describes a 45-day response concept, and the current code is effective July 1, 2026. Those rights do not automatically remove a government record or control a county, city, court, voter, or vital-record custodian.

Use Contact to make a request. To correct a parcel, voter entry, court record, certificate, or city file, contact the agency that holds it. Safe at Home and At-Risk voter protections are separate official programs for qualifying safety situations.

Public Records Are Separate

County abstracts, maps, court indexes, voter fields, vital records, cemetery entries, city registers, and historical scans are controlled by their own statutes and policies. This directory cannot erase or change them. Utah Code 26B-8-125 sets age thresholds for public vital access, while relationship and identification rules can still apply. Utah Code Title 63G, Chapter 2 governs GRAMA requests. Use the custodian’s route.

Policy Changes

This policy may be updated when the directory’s practices, linked services, or applicable law changes. The date shown by the site’s current publication should be checked before relying on a prior version.
